11 October 2013 - Mary & Dara, Kilmacanogue, Co.
We have just returned
from Sicily where Tony and Isabella sorted out our
wedding day and helped with all the papers ,
location, and the day itself.
It was a small affair
and it went really really well.
We had lots of
queries which they always responded to in a very
helpful and professional manner.
We would recommend
weddings in Sicily to friends.
And if anyone has any
queries they can ask Isabella for my irish phone
number, I will gladly discuss our wonderful
experience with you.

October 2013 - Julia & Dmitry, St. Petersbourg,
Well, we are the couple from Russia. And we decided
to marry not a lot time ago.
Our intention was to
make unusual, romantic, but at the same light and
not too overcrowded matrimonial procedure in a short
time (we had only 2 months to arrange everything).
We found Sicily (and more particularly, Taormina) as
a very beautiful place. Main question was how to
arrange everything (including procedure,
accommodation, documents and officials) in a place
where you never have been.
Tony and Isabella have immediately responded to our
request. They were quick to prepare the schedule of
the wedding according to our request. Everything was
done in very professional and kind manner. Tony
helped us to make the plan of the day, he has
recommended us few restaurants to choose one for the
celebration. Tony took over control for all the
paper work and all the formalities (including
official documents confirming the marriage, Russian
at the procedure
etc.). Additionally Tony helped us with the ideas
for the stag-and-hen parties and he has arranged it.
It was easy with his help to find accommodation for
us (old-fashioned villa in the centre of Taormina)
and for all our guests.
During all our stay Tony
was always ready to support us in all our requests
and ideas. Tony has found special car (sport car)
for the wedding procedure and it exceeded our

Tony was extremely

We changed the

really had the patience of a saint! Both Tony and
Isabella were so kind and reassuring through the

After this, she helped Adam & I arrange the ceremony

We both felt that
she genuinely cared about how the ceremony was going

Tuesday 2 July 2013 - Debbie & Jarrod, Essex, UK
In 2006, my husband and myself went to Taormina as our
first holiday together. We both fell in love with
the place instantly. Everything about it is simply
beautiful. Anyway, my husband proposed at the
beginning of 2012 and as soon as he did, I asked if we
could marry in Taormina!
He readily agreed and when
we got back from our holiday in Sri Lanka, I started
researching. I found Tony and Isabella and started
conversing with them over email. I told them
approximately how many we were expecting and a rough
budget. They gave us a range of options which some
looked like they would be good for us. It is so hard
when you cannot see the places for yourself though
so we arranged a visit in may 2012.
As I wanted
to get it just right and not to miss anything, I had
arranged visits to other hotels also whilst we were
over there. Anyway, we arrived in the evening and went
straight to to the Time Out pub to meet Tony. We
told him of our intentions (seeing the other hotels)
and he gave us his honest opinion. After viewing these
places, he was absolutely right. My dad was disabled
so they had to bear this into consideration and they
were very thoughtful with this. Anyway, after
looking at a few different places, I was feeling
like we weren't going to be able to find somewhere to
match our criteria especially for my dad. We has
already viewed the palazzo Duca di Santo Stefano to
actually get married in (and there are steps
outside but as my dad could manage minimal walking
at the time, Tony and Isabella suggested the staircase
inside the building).
Anyway, Tony said that
there was another place (for the reception) but it
hasn't started doing weddings yet but we could have
a look. Anyway, upon walking into the Ashbee, I
started to giggle and knew immediately that this was
the place (Isabella already knew I'd like it)!
They put us in touch with Claudio and Angelo who
helped with accommodation and excursions. They even
tried to accommodate for my dad's further ill
health. So, we followed most of their suggestions
are very pleased we did.
The violinist was
perfect at the ceremony (filled in the wait for my
arrival), the car and the drinks in the Mocambo but
most of all, the Sicilian folk group. Now, before we
went, we had friends/family turn their noses up at
this but every single person LOVED it! The only
problem was, they didn't want to leave the Mocambo!
The Ashbee was wonderful and Isabella (you will
fall in love with Isabella) goes with you to
appointments such as florists and hairdressers to
translate (this is necessary in Sicily).
Unfortunately, my dad passed away in the April of
this year and my husband lost his aunt only one month
before we married. It was a very emotional day but
Tony and Isabella took away any stress.
Isabella are very warm people, good at what they do
and I think it helps that Isabella loves a wedding!
Thank you both for everything, lucky Tony and lucky

Everyone is now

experiences they ever had.
This is down to Tony

The service they

it. If we were to do it all over again, we wouldn’t

Isabella by our side every step of the way. We
couldn’t have done it without them.

Todd contacted Tony on a referral

I have to say
my husband outdid himself with every detail

Todd had never been to Taormina before, so

6 September 2012 - Sandra & Martin, Essex,
We had been
considering our wedding options for a while
looking at UK venues and abroad. Having seen a
friend’s photos of a wedding in Sicily we
thought that maybe this was the place for us.
Researching on the internet we found a few
wedding planners and emailed them to find out
more information. Not only were Tony and
Isabella the first to respond, but it was also
clear that they were best suited to planning for
Their response was detailed and clear and
answered all the questions we had posed rather
than stock information that others sent back.
We visited Tony and
Isabella in late September 2011 to look at the
options, and despite poor weather at that time
we fell in love with Taormina and knew this was
the place for us. Through the intervening
year we were able to leave them to make all the
arrangements we wanted in Sicily.
They guided us
through the legal process with the British
Embassy and always responded promptly and
courteously to any queries we had, no matter how
trivial. Tony was able to arrange
accommodation and excursions for our guests as
well as airport transfers. He also laid on a
reception in the garden of the Time Out Pub the
night before to welcome all our guests and this
exceeded our expectations. Everything was done
without any hassle.
During the week leading up
to the wedding, we had to attend to the
administration and final detail plans with

All the details were handled with

We had chosen the civil

lent a real air of sophistication to the event.
We were able to add our own touches of personal
vows and a reading by one of our relatives. As
we found throughout, we were able to make the
day be what we wanted.
The walk through the town
is a tradition in Sicily and was fun with
everyone coming out to congratulate us and later

the stunning bay and Mount Etna. This allowed us
time to compose ourselves before entering, a
nice touch and well thought out. When we joined
the group we were welcomed again with Prosecco

delicious. The ambience on the terrace was
superb. The meal that followed was similarly
superb. Comments from some guests reckoned this
to be the best meal out they had eaten anywhere.
We would find it hard to say otherwise. The

It’s hard to put
into words what can only be described as our
perfect wedding day.

fair to say we were all blown away by how

couldn’t have done more for us. After we cut the
cake and had our first dance it was time to
party. We danced till the early hours and loved
every minute of our special day. We would
like to thank Tony and Isabella from the bottom
of our hearts for all their help in making our
day perfect. They helped us with
every detail and were also so prompt at coming
back on the numerous emails that we had sent
them during the planning of our wedding. When
we arrived in Taomina, both Tony and Isabella
were on hand literally 24/7 to help us and our
guests with any queries we had. From making hair
and make-up appointments to choosing the flowers
and finalising our menu, Tony and Isabella were
there to advise us on everything and help us
along the way. With their calming natures and
attention to detail, they made the whole
experience stress free and relaxed. If we were to do it
all again we wouldn’t change a thing.

When Simon and I first
decided we wanted to get married in Taormina,
Sicily we searched on the internet for wedding
planners and venues and sent off a bunch of
emails. Tony and Isabella were among the first
planners to get back to us with the most

could offer, venues lists and costs. This set
the tone for all of our dealings with them right

Tony and Isabella made a special trip to Messina

As we sit down looking out
at the rain back home, having an espresso, we
write this testimonial with fond memories.
We were married at Chiesa
Del Varo on the 7th June 2012. We had never been
to Sicily before but as my now wife, Tina is
half Italian and had family from the area of
Enna, we knew this was going to be our dream
wedding. Tina as a little girl was told by her
Nonna of the pretty white churches and the
beautiful weddings she had been to in Sicily.
We decided to look for
information on weddings in Sicily, we came
across Tony's website via the internet, this was
the first and only website we looked at. The
testimonials from previous couples gave us hope
and confindence, so we contacted Tony. We had a
fast response to our queries, and they provided
us with help and guidence all the way,
everything was sorted on Tony and Isabella's
side, we had not become fully catholic at this
point.. so after some stressful times (on our
side) we finally got there and everything else
just fell into place.
We meet up with Tony and
Isabella on various occasions of our stay.. it
was like meeting up with old friends you hadn't
met up with in years... chilled and relaxed!! We decided to choose Chiesa
Del Varo.. the church of Tina's dreams, the
church is a true gem, hidden away from the main
street, nothing could prepare you for the
interior inside, we were speechless and it
brought guests of ours to tears at its beauty,
along with the voice of the singer, again blew
We then had a short walk
through the streets after the wedding to the
square, the athmosphere was "buzzing", being
wished all the best by passers by. We arrived in
the main square where we had booked the Mocambo
Bar, for light bites and refreshments with a
Sicilian Folk band, this was a true highlight
and a lot of fun, Tony stayed with our guests
and joined in on the fun, whilst we were whisked
away by our amazing photographer Nicola, our
driver, also amazing, drove us around the town
and to the beauty hot spots of Taormina in our
Retro VW Beetle, as we drove through the
streets, we had people shouting the word Auguri
(Congratulations) and even had a lady from our
native Wales shout out congratulations in
Welsh... topped off the day!!
After the experience in the
car we rejoined our guests at La Giara, where we
were greeted by the staff and our guests with
Prosecco and canapes on the roof top terrace
whilst we took in the view of the bay and Etna.
It was lovely and chilled and a time to catch up with our guests on
the fun they had in the Mocambo bar! We then carried on downstairs
for our wedding meal... the table was set out exactly how we had
asked, with all our little touches....
Thank you Isabella and the
La Giara staff.. you listened to us and did us proud ladies! The food completely blew us
away, the food was of a high standard and came
out hot, all our guests cleared their plates!
Compliments to the Chef!!!
After the meal, we were not
prepared for the size of the amazing cake that
came out.... but we all managed to make room for
a little cake.
After the cake, we had some
home made video snap shots of the day and its
highlights so far.. this was a lovely touch. Then the music began and our small, but fun
group enjoyed dancing the night away.. A perfect
end to a perfect day!
We want to also mention
another big thank you to The Time Out Pub staff
who sorted out a pre wedding and 60th Birthday
get together.. again we had a lovely cake...
thanks Isabella for the heads up on the cake
We could go on forever
about our wedding, but if you truly want
something romantic, special, different, and
stress free, dont hesitate, just email Tony,
their help, support and guidence is a big plus! Thank you so much Tony,
Isabella and the others that helped put our day

Taormina, Friday 25 May 2012 - Jason & Siobhan, Kildare, Ireland
Having decided to get married abroad 19 months ago, we, like most people, had no idea where
to start. Having settled on Sicily, our next mission was to find a wedding planner.
When we discovered Tony's website we realised we needed to look no further!
We contacted Tony and Isabella and from that moment on we knew we were in safe hands. They
sent us all the information we needed to get started. Our next move was to take a trip
over for a holiday to Taormina in May 2011. From the first moment we met this very special
couple we were sure we had not only made the right decision but had made two new friends! Nothing from that moment
was ever too much trouble and they made sure we were never anxious about our plans.
So when the time came for us and our family and friends of 73 people to descend on Taormina with
much excitement, Tony, Isabella, Claudio and Angelo had us all sorted with transport and
accommodation, which was a huge help to us as we didn't have to worry about it.
As many tired people reached the foot
of Taormina, eyes widened and everyone was amazed by the view.
Throughout their stay
all our family and friends were made to feel so welcome. From that moment on, the wedding
of a lifetime was on!
With so much help from Tony and Isabella we had a beautiful ceremony in
Chiesa Del Varo', followed by cocktails, canapes, dancing and laughter with the folk
band in Mocambo bar. So off we went to have our photos taken while our guests continued the
party in Mocambo.
Our photographer Nicola was great and so patient! After a while Tony
escorted our guests to La Giara to await our return. Our guests were amazed by it. The view
over the sea wowed everyone.
Even though we had been to La Giara before we too were amazed to see
how beautifully they had prepared it for us.
Giovanni and his team pulled out all the stops
to ensure we had everything we wanted. After a fabulous meal, we were presented with a
lovely wedding cake and the party began with dancing until the early hours!
All our guests are still
talking about their experience and the saying
here in Ireland is "There will never be another
wedding like that!" Taormina is the most special place and we were made to feel as
special by Tony, Isabella and all the team. So if you are considering Taormina for
your wedding, our advice to you is, do it, it's an experience never to be forgotten.

It was a stroke of luck when we discovered Tony and Isabella's website in May this year. After
getting engaged in March 2011 we knew we wanted a Sicilian wedding but had no idea where to
start as we had never even been to Sicily!
From our first e-mail to Tony we knew we had found
someone who was very efficient and organised.
Although it was just the two of us in Sicily we
had a very happy and wonderful wedding day, it was even better than we had dared to imagine and
that was due to Tony and Isabella.
They helped with every detail, from the paperwork and
witnesses to the photos and flowers (which were beautiful).
We were both so touched by the
warmth and thoughtfulness of Tony, Isabella and Angelo too. They are professional, sincere and

We married in Chiesa Del

To Tony & Isabella,
What can we say!
What a church, what a
venue, what a place!
Everything from start to
finish was organised to perfection. Both of you
worked so hard to make sure our day ran as
smooth as possible and it did; from early that
day to late that night you were there for us to
ensure everything was to the highest standard.
So from the bottom of our
hearts we say thanks for something special that
will remain with not only us, but also our guest
for the rest of our lives.

Adrienne & Martin, Donabate, Co. Dublin,
What can we say about Tony and Isabella that
hasn’t been said before only that they are truly
two of the nicest people we have ever met.
Our journey with Tony and Isabella began in
September 2010 and from the very first email we
sent them we knew straight away that we were in
good hands. After a few weeks of emails back and
forth we decided we couldn’t wait any longer and
wanted to travel as soon as we could to Sicily.
When we arrived there we were blown away
with how picturesque the town of Taormina was.
It really is a hidden gem. We couldn’t wait to book our special day
in Taormina and by the time we met Tony and
Isabella that first evening we knew Sicily was
the place for us.
Throughout the whole year
after we had booked it Tony and Isabella
continued to be amazing. All of our worries
and questions were always answered promptly and
we never once felt not at ease.
When our wedding day arrived our expectations were
exceeded. We had such a special day that will
remain in our hearts forever. The hairdresser,
the photographer, videographer, the florist and
Giovanni from La Giara were all amazing.
Isabella took all the hassle out of arranging
The singers in the church
were fantastic and everyone had a tear in their
eye. The Sicilian folk band that were waiting
for us after the ceremony in Mocambo cafe were
brilliant, they had all of our 40 guests up
dancing straight away.
Our guests are all still
talking about them today and how they didn’t
want to leave when Isabella said they had to go
to La Giara.
However the disappointment they
felt leaving Mocambo didn’t last very long, when
they walked into La Giara they were all left
The views from the rooftop
overlooking Mt Etna was so romantic, the food,
drink and cake were amazing, the staff were so
friendly and helpful and really made us feel
very special. Tony also arranged for a piano
player to play during the meal which set the
mood for the whole evening.
before the wedding I got a severe eye infection
that didn’t seem to be clearing up.
It got so bad
that I could barley see and was in a lot of
pain. Tony and Isabella arranged very quickly
for me to see and eye specialist who was able to
diagnose what was wrong with my eye and start
treating it straight away.

help me and even when I needed to go back to see

Nothing can prepare you for

Tony and Isabella are the perfect wedding

Everybody in Taormina
was so helpful and friendly, from the
hairdressers and make-up artists to the

Hi Tony & Isabella,
Firstly we'd just like to thank you both

It all flowed

absolutely hate organizing and making decisions
and thought that I'd drive any wedding planner
mad! I didn't want fuss and thought that some
would find it odd that I didn't want

I just wanted a holiday where we'd just happen

exactly what we got!
The town hall (Palazzo

was perfect. The views up on the terrace are
fabulous and it's a great place to mingle.
Thanks so much for organizing the "buffet style"
dinner as people got to try a bit of everything
and be a bit more adventurous instead of typical
beef or salmon! I have never tasted food like it
and all the guests were going on about it for
the rest of the holiday. It was good of Giovanni
and the staff to accommodate our request for the
more informal approach of the buffet. It gave
people more of a chance to mingle and stretch
instead of sitting down for hours!
until at least 4 am (although nobody is quite

Your suggestions and
your services have been beyond our expectations.
Since the first time we met almost 1 year and half

The Taormina Experience:
Is feidir linn!
Our experience began in April 2010 when on our first
visit to Sicily we arrived to meet Tony & Isabella
in Taormina, having been in awe of the place upon
arrival we both wanted our big day to be there, it
had to be right though – we both knew after a few
minutes talking to Tony and Isabella they were on
the ball! The more questions we asked about
different options the more they excited us with the
answers about how special we could make our wedding
day. We decided to return in June as this was the
time of year we would get married, again Tony &
Isabella couldn’t do enough for us – we got engaged
on this visit and couldn’t wait to get home and
unveil the secret gem we had found – Taormina!
The endless trail of emails, texts
and phone calls that followed were met with prompt
and reassuring replies that meant our build up to
the big day was stress free – we never thought it
could be this easy.
Our guests arrived in big
numbers the day before the wedding and with the
assistance of Angelo & Claudio we had them all
housed and in The Time Out that night with the
greatest of ease.
The wedding day was hot,
Tony sweated more than most as he went about
directing everyone into the church.
Speaking of the
church: Santa Caterina was blossoming with the
beautiful flowers that were on display.
